The Dark Knight!
This week I had the pleasure of going to see this movie at the Drive Inn! Great movie, good food, and wonderful company! It truly made it a perfect atmosphere to appreciate Mr.Ledgers tragic last role. RN orientation
Wow, what a day….
RN orientation was yesterday, and I just couldn’t believe that it is getting ready to start. The ticker says that I have just over 3 weeks left.
I have almost all of my books. Just waiting for the last couple to show up and I will be ready. The laptop is all clean and neat. All my supplies are ready!
My mood has dramatically improved as school is getting ready to start. It was so invigorating to be surrounded by other students who are working towards the same goal.
School is starting, “oh my gawd” school is starting!
T is for Typheni
The story of Typheni, as best as I can remember:
When I was in Japan, there were two Tiffany S’s in my class, therefore things were very challenging. The teacher encouraged us to each pick a nickname that could be used to identify us from each other. After talking it over with family, we decided to spell my name TYPHENI instead. This was supposed to stick purely for that class.
When we moved back to the US, I encountered the same problem, only there were 3 of us. So I reverted back to the state of Typheni-ness. Somewhere in here, I had an English teacher who decided to pronounce TYPHENI just as it looks “Tie- Fa-knee”(with lots of attitude). It caught on like wild fire, and from then on I was called Typheni (with unique pronunciation) by everyone.
I kept up with the name all throughout highschoo, and even toyed with the idea of having my name legally changed. Many of my friends (most) had no clue that my name was in fact Tiffany. When I graduated high school I had to go to administration and explain that my legal name was in fact Tiffany, as they had printed a diploma for Typheni.
S is for shoes….In honor of my favorite blogger!
I have a favorite blog…..I read it every day….. Its my guilty pleasure…..
Alicia over here is an amazing blogger. Among the many things that she blogs about, she features gorgeous shoes every week. If you havent seen her blog, it is a must read! Stop by and tell her “hi”!
So for Alicia, and those who like shoes, I am going to showcase my favorite beauties….
R is for Refresh and renew
R is for refresh and that is exactly what I did with my new ‘do!
(wow, that rhymes…weird)
P is for Plums
The next target for plum picking!
O is for Omigoodness
Or Oh My Goodness….its hot outside!
It seems like just yesterday I was writing about the snow, and now it is hot and humid outside. Sadly with working nights Im not getting to enjoy as much of it as I want.
I went to the local farmers market the other day, and saw some of the most beautiful flowers. I guess all the rain last spring really gave the flowers what they needed.
It is so hot (for us) that my work even sent out an email warning of the dangers of heat stroke. Seriously, its only in the 80′s. Wimpy Washingtonians!
N is for Nursing
Come on….you knew that N would be something to do with nursing, didnt you?
What a good time to talk about what I want out of my nursing career. I have spent many years bouncing around to the different departments of medicine, and working back office in them. That has given me the chance to explore my areas of interest.
I dont particularly care for primary care. I understand the importance of it, but it is incredibly mundane.
I loved OB/GYN, and could see working there or Labor and Delivery. The birthing process from conception through delivery is amazing.
I love the ER. I cant get enough of it. (maybe that will change) I love the shifts, I love working nights, I love the comraderie, and even the action! I just love the ER.
So basically… first choice ER, second choice L&D, third choice Urgent Care.
Can you tell that I’m excited?
M is for Meyah
Meyah is my oldest baby. She will be 6 years old this fall. Time has sure flown by with her. It seems like just yesterday I was afraid to touch her because she was so small, and now she is this chunky monster of a dog.
Weighing in at a whopping 8lbs, her favorite things are lap sitting, being snuggled, going bye-bye, and sleeping under the covers. Her least favorite things are….being pestered by other dogs, and small children.
I thank my stars for this wonderful companion. She is loyal and loving, and oh so unique!
L is for Love, the ethical question
I read, see, hear, and watch other couples express thier affection to each other, and I wonder when that stopped in my marriage. Was it visible to the outsiders?
I wonder if and when I will be able to trust the love of a partner again. I do crave that feeling. Its hard to be without that companionship after having it for so long.
Some puppy happiness, as promised
“I didnt do it” -Dylan, obviously guilty
“You can say it, I know Im cute!”-Meyah being a camera ham.
“Im on Giada’s blanket…..lalala”
-Meyah
“Ball, ball….where’s the stinkin’ ball?!”
-Kaylee the terrorist (I mean Terrier)
Testing the blogging from my phone
So apparently I am supposed to be able to blog from my cell phone. I read the instructions and hopefully this is how you do it.
Im on my way into work, so i will have to check and see if it worked.
The most beautiful sight
Back in the saddle.
Alright, enough moaning. I need to get back to real blogging.
The alphabet….should I repost from before, or just continue? You decide, and let me know.
I got my schedule for nursing school, geriatrics first term….CRAP! (literally) I guess its better to get it out of the way.
I will post some doggie picture happiness soon.
Thanks for all the words of support!
Welcome back!
Alright, so without further ado…. I am rolling out the new blog.
My name is back, I am no longer a Salazar, and thus….no longer part of the Oursalazarfamily.
welcome to MY blog.
Welcome welcome.
