Pregnancy induced insomnia. Its ridiculous.
It goes something like this:
•cant sleep because my hips are sore
•cant sleep because I have wretched heart burn
•cant sleep because there are 5,000 things I need to accomplish before NoNo is born.
•cant sleep because baby has hiccups.
I finally get comfortable and start to doze and then…. Gotta pee.
Anyone have some magic sleep remedy that is non pharmacologic?

have a massage therapist skilled in pregnancy massage and make house calls come for a visit? Choose a time of day that NoNo is least active. In utero babies typically most active between 8-11 pm acc’ding to the books (and this was true for me, too).
My best advice, all things considered. I hear ya on the exhaustion at that point and inability to sleep when you need it most. Keep venting!

Warm bath, then a glass of warm milk. I think the massage idea sounds divine, too.
You could also try melatonin; its the hormone your body makes to help you sleep. I think it’s sold at a lot of health food stores.

The only thing I found that helped was giving birth… and guess who still only gets max 3 hours??
I can feel your pain!! I found that for the heartburn it helped to prop myself up more in bed and sleep on my left side. For the hips, I used a butt-tonne of pillows to prop myself in a comfortable position. I can’t help ya with the hiccups- baby girl still keeps me awake at night with her hiccups!!
I know you probably hate to vent about feeling so uncomfortable- but feel free to do so, the end of pregnancy is ROUGH!! You’ve done an awesome job so far- and you’re in the homestretch now!!! Good luck!!!
