Remembering…
Today is the day we send balloons up in the sky for my Father in Law.
I was able to go and visit him at his cemetary when I was in Cali last year. It was a wonderful experience and I felt closer to him having been able to touch his head stone. Today he will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I am forever thankful to him for giving me a wonderful husband! I wish that he were around to be able to sit and talk with, there is so much I would like to know. But for now, I will tell you to say “Hi” to my Grandpa and to kiss my babies.
We love you!
Family times…..
I just cant help but kiss and hug on this adorable little man! I am so lucky to have such adorable and loving nephews!

Christmas with my inlaws
This year was my first year as a married woman, and as such we spent these holidays with my husbands family. Little did I know that my skills as a nurse (student) would be needed. My husbands grandfather started having a flare up of his CHF and was having some painful breathing. I was impressed at the amount of knowledge that I was able to recall while doing a quick assessment on him. Ultimately he was fine and I realized how very much I need to have my stethoscope with me always. I felt handicapped without my ears.
What all do you keep in your trunk? I am now fully equipped with a good emergency kit and also my spare ears, so those incidents where I need them.
The rest of the holiday went off without any issue and it was wonderful getting to see all the cousins and the Nephews. We were incredibly honored in being asked to be the oldest Nephews Madrina/Padrino at his first communion. What a priveledge!
Saying good bye was harder, much harder. I cried for about 100 miles while driving away. I have married into such an amazing family and saying goodbye to my Mother-in-law made me feel like my heart was breaking.
Only 6 months until Graduation and hopefully everyone will be able to make it up here!
The countdown to the big move is coming…….172 days!
Merry Christmas!
We are spending Christmas at Disneyland with my amazing Mother-in-law and one of the Tia’s!
Pictures to follow!
Hope everyone is having a great Christmas day with family!
Camera shy
With as often as I whip out my Nikkon D40, the kids are starting to think I am a photographer! Some of them have even gotten quicker than me! I think that this little guy was done posing for my pictures and was tired of the camera snapping pictures of every adorable thing that he did!
Kids are so much fun to take pictures of. If I stand really quietly with the camera, I get some of the sweetest pictures of them! I am hoping to be able to get some of the pictures printed for the parents of these munchkins!
I am so thankful for my camera! I have thousands of pictures that I have taken and they all look so darn beautiful!
What type of camera do you use?
Family Photo
Thanksgiving was wonderful, as I have mentioned. The greatest part was getting to spend some quality time with the family. We took over 500 pictures and were able to get some fun group pics thanks to a new tripod. Im looking for some good editing software, if anyone has some suggestions.
But here is a perfect picture of my wonderful Husband, the Abuelitos, and me!
Usually holidays at home are pretty tame, I was so excited that we had family coming in and out all day long and well into the evening. The laughter and chatter filled every room of the house and was fantastic.
11am….
Cooking is going, lunch is ready. Waiting on some cousins to show up to eat the lunch meal.
I made lunch!! Scalloped potatoes and pork chops, with shrimp pasta and bread!
Dinner TBA!
Some people needed a nap before lunch…hehehehe
Happy Turkey Day!!
Its a little after 4 am and my household is up and moving.
Off to my inlaws house to start cooking before the cousins and neices and nephews start showing up!
What does your family do for turkey day breakfast?
Will you watch the game? The parade?the dog show?

Flying high
My travel buddy and I enjoyed a little (HUGE) margarita before taking off for Cali.
The drinks were strong, the conversation great and we almost missed our flight!
We were so busy chatting that we were nearly the last people to board!
But we survived!! And flew with tequila induced smiles!

Surprise, syke
My dear hubby thought we were going to be surprising his Aunt. What a shock for him that I had it planned out differently!
I dropped him off about 1/4 of a mile from her house and showed up without him. She and I quickly got ready and when he rang the door bell he was shocked to hear all of us yell “surprise!”
What a great afternoon!!

Dear Tia Lupi,
Dear Tia Lupi,
I just wanted to tell you how much fun I had this weekend. You really dont know how much it meant to me. You remind me so much of your wonderful Nephew (My Hubby) that it brought tears to my eyes.
I have not laughed so hard, tried on so many sandals, or eat something so chewy all in one date! Among the many things I love about you, is your radiance.
Thank you for letting me have some of your time! And for being part of my Family.
Love,
The Toe Cleavage lover!
